About The Calm Coach Programme
What exactly is The Calm Coach Corporate Programme?
It’s an 8-week nervous system regulation programme that has been carefully designed to build genuine nervous system resilience in your team. Each 20-minute session is delivered via MS Teams at the same day/time each week. Each session combines a short evidence-based theory element, a guided exercise and a simple takeaway practice. It is proactive, consistent and specifically designed to build genuine nervous system resilience over time, in a way that one-off trainings can’t.
How is this different from other workplace wellbeing programmes?
Most corporate wellbeing offerings are reactive, waiting until employees are struggling before offering support. They also tend to be infrequent, a monthly yoga class or a one-off workshop, which neuroscience tells us is not enough to create lasting change. The Calm Coach programme is proactive, consistent and progressive. It builds nervous system capacity the same way physical training builds fitness, through repetition over time. There is nothing else currently available in the corporate wellbeing space that does this.
What does each session actually look like?
Each session is 20 minutes delivered live on Teams. It begins with a brief grounding movement or check-in, followed by a short and accessible theory element that gives context without overwhelming, a guided exercise and a simple takeaway practice to use between sessions. Heart based breathing is woven throughout every session as a consistent and calming thread.
Do employees need any equipment or prior experience?
Sessions are designed to be done at a desk, in work clothes, with no prior experience of breathwork, meditation or any wellness practice. The only requirement is a willingness to show up with an open mind. If you work in a shared space, headphones or earphones are highly recommended.
What is heart based breathing?
Heart based breathing is a scientifically backed practice that combines a coherent breathing rhythm with focused attention on the heart area and the cultivation of positive emotion such as gratitude or appreciation. It brings the brain, heart and nervous system into a state of coherence, reducing stress hormones, improving emotional regulation and building resilience with consistent practice. It is accessible, discreet and enormously effective.
Logistics and Delivery
How are sessions delivered?
All sessions are delivered live via Microsoft Teams, making them accessible to in-office, remote and hybrid teams simultaneously. No room bookings, no travel, no disruption to the working day.
What if employees miss a session?
Each session is designed to be valuable as a standalone experience so missing one does not break the journey. A session summary email is sent after each session so nobody misses the key content or takeaway practice.
How many employees can participate?
The programme is priced in bands (see below for details) based on the number of registered employees. Up to 20 registered employees, up to 50, up to 100, up to 300, and over 300.
What does “registered employees” mean in relation to the programme fees?
Registered employees are the number of people your organisation enrols onto the programme at the start. The programme fee is based on the number of employees registered at the start of the programme and is not subject to adjustment based on individual session attendance.
Can sessions be recorded?
This is something to discuss on a case by case basis. Live attendance is strongly encouraged as the group experience and real-time guidance is a significant part of what makes the programme effective. The sense of doing this together as a team creates a co-regulatory effect that a recording simply cannot replicate.
Do senior management need to be involved?
Ideally yes, and this is something worth discussing before the programme begins. The research on workplace wellbeing is very clear that initiatives which are sanctioned and championed by leadership have significantly better engagement and outcomes than those left entirely to individual motivation. Where possible, protecting the 20 minutes as dedicated programme time rather than optional attendance makes an enormous difference.
Results and Efficacy
How do you measure the impact of the programme?
Every programme includes pre and post surveys measuring stress levels, sleep quality, focus, emotional resilience and general wellbeing. A full impact report is provided at the end of the programme showing the data before and after. This gives you tangible evidence of the programme’s effectiveness and a clear business case for continuing.
How quickly will employees notice a difference?
Most participants notice a shift in how they feel within the first session. Meaningful changes in stress baseline, sleep and emotional reactivity typically begin to show within two to three weeks of consistent daily practice. Significant and lasting change builds progressively over the 8 weeks.
Is there evidence that this approach works?
Yes. The science behind nervous system regulation, breathwork, somatic practice and heart based breathing is well established and extensively researched. The approach draws on neuroscience, polyvagal theory, neuroplasticity and the psychophysiology of heart rate variability. References and research are available on request.
Investment and Commitment
How much does the programme cost?
The full 8 week programme is priced as follows based on the number of registered employees. Up to 20 registered employees is £1,999. Up to 50 registered employees is £3,999. Up to 100 registered employees is £6,999. For up to 300 registered employees it’s £9,999. Please contact me for over 300 registered employees.
Bespoke programmes and ongoing “maintenance programmes” are also available.
Please note, I am not currently VAT registered.
Is there a way to try before we commit?
Yes. Every organisation is offered a complimentary 20-minute taster session for up to six members of the HR and leadership team before any commitment is made. This gives you the opportunity to experience the programme firsthand and make an informed decision based on your own felt experience rather than just taking my word for it.
What is your cancellation policy?
The programme fee is payable in full, prior to commencement, and is non-refundable. The complimentary taster session is provided specifically to ensure the programme is the right fit before any financial commitment is made.
The Calm Coach in Schools
What is the school visit and why is it included?
Every organisation that invests in The Calm Coach Corporate Programme directly enables a complimentary package for a school of your choice. This involves an eductional assembly (in person or virtually) delivering age-appropriate nervous system regulation techniques to children, and information and resourses for teachers about embedding simple breathwork and regulation practices into the school day. It is included because nervous system regulation should not be a privilege available only to adults in well-funded organisations. The earlier children learn to understand and work with their nervous systems the better equipped they are for everything life brings. By investing in your people you are also investing in the next generation and that is something worth being proud of.
How does the school visit work practically?
The school visit can be delivered in person or virtually depending on location. The organisation investing in the programme nominates or suggests a school, or Victoria can work with a local school in the area. Full details are discussed as part of the onboarding process.
Is this relevant to our CSR or ESG commitments?
Absolutely. The school component sits directly within the Social pillar of ESG reporting and contributes meaningfully to Corporate Social Responsibility commitments around community investment and children’s mental health. It gives your organisation a tangible and genuinely impactful story to tell internally and externally about the difference your investment is making beyond your own four walls.
